The listing, COLERIDGE'S ANCIENT MARINER, KUBLA KHAN AND CHRISTABEL has ended.
This small hardcover volume contains three (3) of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's famous works: THE RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER, KUBLA KHAN, AND CHRISTABEL. It was obtained at a library sale where it was withdrawn from circulation (probably due to the age of the volume (it was printed in 1924), as well the condition of the volume itself (there are some stray pencil and ink marks inside of the book). The front cover has some red ink markings on it, and there are some stray pencil marks on the inside of the book and the inside of the back cover appears to have had the pocket where the library pockets would have been located torn out of it. The front page of the book appears to be pulling apart from the binding, but for the most part this little volume is in fairly good shape considering the age of this little volume (it's 90 years old!) If you love Samuel Taylor Coleridge's works (like I do), then despite all of its faults, this little volume is definitely for you! I was smitten when I opened the beginning of this book and read the opening lines(after the PREFACE and the INTRODUCTION of his RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER: IT is an ancient Mariner, And he stoppeth one of three. "By thy long grey beard and glittering eye, Now wherefore stopp'st thou me? The Bridegroom's doors are opened wide, And I am next of kin; The guests are met, the feast is set May'st hear the merry din." (but then I simply LOVE this piece by Coleridge, which I have enjoyed since I was first introduced to it in English class --WOW, how I loved English class!), so if you enjoy Coleridge as much as I do, then this is definitely the book for you! Happy Bidding!
