1967 is the third and last year these Special Mint Sets were released by the U.S. Mint. The sets had an incredibly low mintage of 1,863,344, and as a result, they can be elusive today. These are the highest quality coins produced in 1967, because for the third year in a row, the U.S. Mint produced no Proof Sets. As the last year in this short series, the Kennedy Half is the last 40% silver half produced in this finish. Also included are the Lincoln Memorial Cent, the Jefferson Nickel. Roosevelt Dime and Washington Quarter. All five coins are housed in the Mint's special hard plastic holder to protect the special finish imparted to each coin.
