no, just plug it in with the USB cable and use it like a flash drive or external hard drive. You'll have to be careful though because you can delete the pictures off the camera with the computer. It's a lot faster to just get a crad reader, look for a cheapie one on ebay or amazon and plug your memory card in

I've never lost pics on this..This has worked perfect for me..Never any problems..You will see..Anyway, You have to be happy or I will refund your credits..This has a value of $129.00 + Retail..That is what I paid and just figured I would list it here for someone that really needs it and couldn't afford it otherwise..Thanks

I wasn't acusing you of losing anything :) I was just offering some friendly advice to others speaking from my own dumb mistakes. Kodak's easyshare software is buggy so I always just used the camera like a flash drive and let windows use its drivers for it.
