This is a Cedar bow rose and the pedal is made from elk hide. So it is a coast Salish from The Klallam tribe. I am doing this for first time to see how many are interested knife these unique tribal rose. It's length is about 7" and rose is about 2" wide. Any ?'s just ask. Good luck and God Bless! If gin is used will add a small rose you can pin on your cost or shirt. Made in same way. Or if points hit a reasonable amount.

You are right if does take along time to just get the material all the soaking and peeling and dying when I use different colors. Then the hide is just the same. Guess it would be quicker to buy but I handmake it right from beginning to end

Real surprised how the bids are so low still. Had over 15 people asking for me to auction. This will probably be last one for the roses. Not worth doing for amount of time it takes to make. I usually only do them for special occasions. I guess that's the way it's meant to be.

Duane this is the 1st I've seen of this auction...what is it, exactly? Is it a decoration, made from elkhide and cedar? I guess it's the word 'Bow' that's throwing my comprehension off...I keep expecting it to be a weapon, or something...Fan as always, Watching and Bid...!

Hi lol ya it's just a decorative rose made of the bark from cedar. The same we make baskets from and I just cut a leaf out of elk hide and put if together. I used to make the whole stem from hide but if it got wet if would loosen up so I just make the leaf now. Usually only make these for weddings funerals and potlatches. But I had a few made and added them to a few auctions. Then I had quite a few requests for more. But only a few have bid. So this may be the the only one. I think it's a sign to keep them more ceremonial then for any other purpose.
