As the title says it is 34" however the hem is longer on the sides. They are one size and this is considered the long version, the width of the skirt part is approx. 48". ( they do come in a plus size, but I don not know the measurements for them. If you have a full bust (DD and up ) some of the ways to wear won't don't work well. I gave some to my sisters, but I may list one of the short ones later. They are kinda like a weekend wardrobe you can carry in your purse! Just add a leotard or tube top and you are ready to go. So how short are you? :) Did you check out the website? most of the ways to wear it are as a dress and that would not present a problem even for a short person. FYI; Here is a tip for the winner of this garment and those of you who have other silk garments. I learned this from a Japanese Dry Cleaner who I bought antique silk Kimonos from in Northern California. Always hand wash silk garment with Johnson' Baby Shampoo. Dry cleaning burns the fabric and the threads and causes deterioration . Woolite and other soaps do not wash completely out and affects life of garment , too.
