Great reel, this is for 5 - 6 weight line good for most fresh water from blugill to large trout to bass !! Cortland makes a quality product.

Think you and this reel is brand new I never used it and really hope someone will win it and give it tons of use and have many great trips to the water and catches many fish with it

SWEET!! I will have to keep an eye out and see if I can't grab it up for him without him knowing.... he does actually need a new one. He snapped his this past summer and would love it if he got a new one for Xmas!! Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks for your quick reply. My 11 year old son actually asked the question while browsing on here, and he didn't think to read all of the previous questions asking about the GIN option... he's still learning though. And although he used the word "their" in the wrong context, he did spell it correctly so I gotta give him props for taking the initiative to ask his question and spell his words correctly :) He loves fishing and especially fly fishing! I told him to go ahead and watch this one and bid later. Great auction!! we fanned and are watching this one! Thank you!!!

I understand that , but , what " weight " ? # 1 thru 5 Is usually for trout , blue gill , perch , # 5 , 6, 7 are for bass and # 8 and above are for much larger fish . So I would like to know what " weight " fly lline this reel will carry ? Thanks
