Questions & Comments
I haven't seen the archive site you mentioned I'm curious if the information is kept current. Have you checked prices on the big rainforest site? (Hint Hint) Another thing to consider is the atari flashback systems. Each one they release drives the value of more and more independent titles down. The flashback 5 released not long ago with 92 titles in it for a whopping $40. I seriously would like to see this archive site I tried to google it but the links I found didn't get me to values or even a game list...
please read my to other 2 recent comments in regards to your comment. and please glance at the buy credits instantly page to see the actual cash value of credits
with the pricing of buying credits 200000 credits is the same as about 78 for the system and joystick and less than 10 a game dollar wise that's about the same as what they've been selling for cash value wise and less than what there valued at in the atari archives so considering this is a credit site where most ppl get a lot of free credits or credits only having to pay shipping here and there its a good deal
it will not relist though if it does not sell I'm going to try other methods of selling it unless someone messages me on here and asks me to relist but only if there serious about bidding on it thank you =)
I would love to have four of these games. But in actuality the 2600 retails for no more than $50 used and games range in price from 50 cents to $10.00 each depending on titles (most of which are around $2). I've recently resurrected my 7800 and have been buying games ever since. I am at 117 different titles and climbing. I suggest the flea market next summer if you wish to go for a max or higher value. Best of luck.
I've researched and seen many go for 75 to 80 dollars and games are going for all different prices depending on game from 1 to 15000 or more the values are in the archives online among other placesbut I appreciate any input and thank you for the wishes of luck =)
I listed a very well kept, clean 2600 about 3 months ago with about 30 games, 2 joysticks, and a set of paddles. It went for 101K, which was pretty good. Im not trying to bash you, just offering frame of reference on price. The games you've included are classics, but not particularly rare. Some games are indeed very rare, like an original Red Sea Crossing, or Atlantis II, for example. But you really have to find them. Most games are very common.
Also, just for the sake of education, your Atari is a 4-switch model, released after the initial batch of 6 switch units after the system really took off in popularity. If you see a six-switch model, check the bottom of the unit and see if there is a sticker indicating it was made in Sunnyvale, CA. The "Heavy Sixer" Sunnyvale models are the originals before they outsourced production, and more desired by collectors.
