This is for you Japanese Anime fans out there! If you are a Japanese Anime fan and haven't heard of or seen anything from the "Ghost In the Shell (GITS)" universe or line of movies and TV shows, then you don't know what you've been missing! I am a fan of GOOD Japanese anime and Ghost in the Shell is THE BEST anime I have EVER seen, quite literally in my opinion! I hated Akira and I'm not too into the Full Metal Alchemist. But if you love Macross or Appleseed or anything that even begins to aspire to that level of quality then be prepared to be blown away! I don't suggest that you see this particular movie before you check out the first film (simply called "Ghost IN the Shell") and hopefully also check out the two TV series that there were (GITS Stand Alone Complex and GITS 2nd Gig). This film, as a stand alone project, is fairly impressive with CGI AND with regular animation. The story is very compelling, especially if you have seen SAC or 2nd Gig or the first movie. The characterization is well above standard and the story line is part Blade Runner part something else wild and fantastic! This particular copy is an "All region" coded (no code) disc and has Japanese Audio tracks as the only audio tracks. There is the option for English as well as Chinese Subtitles. There is some minor scratching to the disc but, these scratches do not affect the playing of the DVD. If you have any questions about this DVD, do not hesitate to ask.
