OH MY!!! i certainly wasn't directing any of my 'comments' at you or anyone else. i am relatively new here myself. and. simply expressing a personal observation. i like a great deal as much as the next LISTIAN. and. am looking for what works for ME. i wish i could offer everything with free shipping. and. i applaud those sellers who can. but. i guarantee they are all subsidizing their Listia expenses from somewhere. i just don't have that luxury right now. i have been away from auctioning for a while. am just starting over. it takes time to balance everything out. and. i can assure everybody as well that i am not making any money off of shipping. and. i mean no offense to anyone. i will say one thing that is absolute. i am much more apt to be perfectly fine with paying shipping to a seller that has proven themselves legitimate. how can i tell? well. by buying one or two things from them with free shipping. and. if the item(s) are quality pieces and the transaction goes smoothly. then. i feel like i can expect that anything they are offering even with shipping charges will be worth while. and. i guess. the fact of the matter is. if i want something bad enough. shipping is relative. so. I have sold over 200+ items on here, and I did pretty good on items I asked for shipping....and I tell all that say "can you do free shipping"...I simply tell them "Nope, and TY for looking"~you have people (adults) that do NOT mind paying a few dollars for a BRAND NEW or even expensive items.. a lot of times its your "cry babies" or younger folks that want free shipping---again, $3 for new flip flops---cheaper than anywhere else!!! :) :) :)

thank you for your insight! it is so nice for someone who thinks like i do to speak out. i haven't been on here very long but i am experienced at auctioning. and. this is a totally FUN!!! site. but. i can't see how anyone who does very much selling on here can last very long paying for shipping on everything they offer. personally i have an anxiety attack every time i need to ship. so. i have decided that since the things i am offering are of high quality and my standard as a seller is honest and forthright. adding a SMALL postage fee is within reason. and. i plan to compensate. with special offers and free gifts. so. it will be a win-win situation. OH! AND! consider yourself my LISTIA BFF!!! and. i am watching YOUR auctions too ;)

Relax Amanda...its called having my own "Opinion"...many are cheapskates- it wasn't directed towards you, but if you want to take it like that, then so be it, and it is "cheap" to ask SELLERS for "free" shipping when the auction clearly states there is a shipping cost---its obnoxious....I think you are just acting high strung & somewhat paranoid, again relax, keep cool everyone is entitled to voice a thought or opinion...even if we agree or not with it :) :) Good luck.
