The listing, 10 Red Globe Grape Seeds has ended.

European

Zones: 7-11
Pruning: Cane Prune
Harvest: September - October
Fruit: Large (up to 1” diameter or more), round, seeded table grape with crisp, ruby red skin. Mildly sweet and flavorful, not as tangy as Flame or as sweet as Thompson.
Facts of note: Because the grapes are so big they can be frozen and used as ice cubes in fruit drinks. Very popular in Asia; most of the Red Globe Grapes produced in California and Australia are exported there.
Excellent used as an ornamental, for summer shade, arbors or leafy walls. There are 2 basic classes of table grapes.

European varieties are classed as having originated from the cultivar Vitis vinifera and have tight skins, wine–like flavors, high heat requirements for ripening, and are the most common grapes grown in California. Use fresh, dried, and for juices or wine. Susceptible to powdery mildew, they require regular dusting or spraying with sulfur or other mildew control.

American varieties are classified as having originated from the cultivar Vitis labrusca and have Concord–like flavor, moderate heat requirements, and are late blooming and resistant to powdery mildew. They tend to grow well on the East Coast of the U.S.

Both classes may grow successfully in very warm sites at lower elevations, require deep, moderately fertile soils and regular pruning for high quality and production. Self–fertile.

Red Globe grape seeds can be grown into fruit-producing vines; however, the task can be challenging. Before planting, Red Globe grape seeds and other types of grapes must go through a process called stratification to ensure successful germination Growing from seeds can take anywhere from one to three years before vines successfully emerge.

No, Grape seeds can be temperamental and require a stratification process to ensure successful germination. It would be helpful to look up growing grapes from seed prior to bidding. I had put a note in the auction regarding the stratification. Thanks.

Ok I know about the stratification. I'm wondering after they sprout do the grow fast?

This is what I have:

Germination
After removing the seeds from stratification in early spring, you can plant them in small pots, or in larger pots with at least 1 1/2 inches of space between them. A greenhouse is the safest place for them until June, when you can transplant them to their permanent places outside. They need temperatures reaching at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit by day and approximately 60 degrees Fahrenheit at night during this germination period. The time it takes the seeds to germinate varies from approximately two weeks to two months; sometimes receiving 15 hours of sunlight per day encourages them to germinate sooner rather than later. If some seeds don't germinate, you can always pop them back in the fridge for stratification until next season and try again then.
