Ok, This is for the big kid in all of us. These are professional grade Audiovox GMRS-7000 Fm Tranceivers which can be used from a range of up to 7 miles. Walkie talkies with up to 7 mile range! These were briefly used while running parts to area merchants and worked great before I lost the charger. These are rechargable devices so due to that reason, I have to offer them as they are /as-is without charger but they should be able to use a universal charger. I have the PDF file that fully explains the capabilities available to only serious bidders. I'll list some highlights below:

1. Key Lock Indicator: Icon appears when the keypad is locked. This
function disables keys such as channel up/down and MODE.
2. Monitor Indicator: Icon appears when the Monitor (M) button is
pressed and the channel monitor function is activated.
3. Dual Watch Mode Indicator: Indicator appears when dual watch
modeis active.
4. Voice Activated Transmission (VOX) Indicator: This function allows
hands free conversation. The indicator appears when the VOX mode
is activated.
5. Battery Level Indicator: Icon indicates the battery charge level.
6. Out of Range Indicator: Icon will be on steady when received signal
strength is normal; icon flashes when signal strength becomes weak
and intermittant.
7. Large Segment Display: Indicates the channel number in use.
8. Signal Strength Indicator: Icon appears when a signal is being
received. The icon consists of five bars to indicate the received signal
level.
9. Emergency Indicator: EMG Icon appears when the EMG button is
pressed. (The frequency is NOT monitored by authorities)
10.Weather Mode Indicator:
11. HI/LO Indictors: Appropriate icon appears when the transmit power is
set to desired output power.
12.Caller Identification (ID) Indicator:
13.Coded Tone Controlled Squelch System (CTC) Indicator:
14.Small Segment Display:

Yes with up to 7 mile range it should but probably have to use a lower power setting to avoid ship communications interference. Highest settings require a fcc license. Yes, they are very powerful :)
