I found this homemade lye soap at a shop here in the Ozarks, and thought some of you might like it. I remember when I was little and my grandparents used this to get rid of "chiggers". If you've never had "chiggers", count yourself lucky! Itchy, yucky little critters the size of a pinpoint! Ugh, makes me itch just thinking about them... ;-) Anyway, lots of uses for REAL lye soap, but hard to find. Perfect Christmas gift for the hard to buy for person....bet he doesn't already have one! Lol!
