Own a piece of history! This ancient Roman coin is 1700 years old! The coin was minted in the name of Valens who ruled as Emperor with his brother from 364-378 AD--a long time for an Emperor!
The obverse shows the bust of Valens and the legend: DNVALEN-SPFAUG and the reverse shows the Emperor dragging a captive with the legend: GLORIA RO-MANORUM meaning Glory of the Romans.
The mintmark SIS shows that it was minted in Siscia (now in Croatia).
The coin is fully attributed as RIC 14b type xi.
