For Auction is a United Kingdom large (half dollar size) bronze 1 Penny coin dated 1912. Nice shape, please see the pictures to grade. In 1912 England was ruled by King George V (grandson of Queen Victoria) from 1910 until his death in 1936. His picture is on the front of this coin. He came to power just before this coin was produced. He succeeded King Edward the VII. King George V relief on the coin is very strong which sometimes caused ghosts on the other side of the coin. It was scaled back in 1922 so this has the nice heavy relief. Obviously a great collectible coin that would make a great addition to your collection, great gift or an investment!

I bought a box of coins from a client years ago that she had gotten from a relative that sailed the oceans aboard merchant ships from the late 1800's to WWII. This is one of the coins he collected.
