This is made of a cold cast ceramic. The "grave marker" can be placed outside to mark the spot where the "Last dog..." lies. Send a message and have fun doing it! It can mark the spot either by being placed in the ground like a traditional flat grave marker or you could choose to stand it up against a fence, the foundation of the house etc and just put a little dirt around the bottom to make it look like a more authentic burial spot of the "Last Dog!" At the center of the bone, it measures app. 10" wide and is about 3-1/2" high at the center and approximately 4-1/4" if you measure at one of the ends of the bone if you are measuring the height when it is standing up.
The one you receive will be the one still in the package - like this one, it is protected by the styrofoam packaging as shown in the pics. It also has a thin styrofoam piece that goes over the top to protect it even better. The bone is also in a plastic bag. So it will be well-protected with all the original packing it was in when it came to me. I recommend not leaving outside in winter in really cold areas.
