Thank you, kind Gentleman... there are few of us left in this fast world.

No, this one I made about 4 years ago while recuperating from a streak of bad health. The one I was wirewrapping is posted in my auctions. Seems I have posted 39 of them in the past three days. I get into cleaning tear and post up a bunch of stuff until I get tired of posting or run out of money for the postman.

There is a special one I'm going to post later today that you may be interested in... a .925 Sterling 18" choker with a nice piece of turquoise in it. I only use Sleeping Beauty or Morinci turquoise (because that's all I got).

Man, I really miss living in New Mexico! I used to be able to visit the reservations, the trading posts, any pawn shop, or just the local rock shop, that's if you were too lazy to just go out to one of the known locations, and find rocks, arrowheads, spear points, beads, any number of minerals, and always, everywhere, turquoise! But down here in Texas, we have NONE of that stuff, and you have to literally take out a second mortgage to get a little chunk of turquoise! And you can't even get it on eBay! Is it really all that rare all of a sudden? And what's with this Chrysocolla stuff, is it or is it Not Turquoise? I bought just 2 small nuggets, cabs, actually, of halfway decent turquoise the other day, one 2.7 carat, and the other 7.45 carats, and complete w/ shipping it was over $10 per stone, which is ridiculous compared to the way it used to be! I miss the old days when everything was free (or at least cheao) and easy...of course I was young back then, too, so that may have something to do with it, lol!! Be very well, my friend! See you about the boat!
Namaste

About 20 years ago the mines began policing the desert around their claims and getting away with it. Now it is impossible to enter the claims. To make it worse, the govmt has made it a trespass felony to walk in the desert and pick up anything. All you can do is buy some material from the Navajo or Apaches.
Chrysocolla is beautiful, but it's not turquoise.
