This is approx 65 x 75. It is Hexagons in the Trip around the world pattern. It is red white and blues. There are a few spots that were repaired before it was quilted.(one shown in picture) It was hand pieced originally. It has been machine quilted and bound to help preserve the integrity of the older fabrics.


This quilt started out as a rescued Handmade quilt top that was lovingly put together by someone many years ago. I have taken it and finished it into a quilt. It has been Machine quilted to help preserve the fragile fabrics from years past. These items may have some spots because of rust / storage spots. I do not recommend bleaching or washing excessively as this will weaken the fabrics. It will also make the longevity of this piece decrease dramatically. I do try to repair and rehab these tops before quilting. However, there may be small spots which have been missed. Purchase these with this in mind. If you are looking for perfection perhaps a new custom made piece would suit your needs better. Today's fabrics hold up much better to use and cleaning.
