Definitely watching! I am the founder of the PHIL CAMPBELL CHRISTMAS group on facebook and something like this would be perfect! We are providing Christmas gifts for the children of the town that lost their home, had storm damage, or lost a family member due to the EF5 tornado back in April.
Phil Campbell was forgotten after Tuscaloosa got hit. There were alot of other towns that got hit as well that were barely mentioned. Then Joplin was hit and alot of the donations that were sent here were moved there, volunteers left to go there. They closed all but 1 community center for items within 1 month of the tornado, the red cross left after barely being here 2 months...so this town knows about being forgotten unfortunately.
Horrible. Those that can forget such tragedy or simply shrug it off because they were not affected are the lowest of our species. Before we are ANYTHING...Black,White,Female,Heterosexual,tall,heavy,whatever religion or political affiliation we are human foremost. If you are not a good human being..you aren't much else. I deeply feel for all of you and I assure you the sub-human people that have turned there backs WILL experience tragedy too soon. It's called Hell...there are a LOT of people going.
No. Phil Campbell is in Alabama. We were hit by the EF5 1 month before Joplin was hit. That was heartbreaking to see that people were going through the same thing that this town was. No one deserves that!
God bless you ALL. Watching the Joplin footage made me cry for several days. I find it disgusting that people have already started to forget. I wanted to be in Joplin as a first responder but could not afford to get there. I think it's beautiful what you are doing and I will add those affected in Alabama to my prayers.
Oh my God, God bless you. I sincerely do feel for all of you. I acknowledge everytime I see tragedy strike that it could have been me and my family and I think about how I would feel and how I would be affected. I wish more people were capable of that level of empathy.
"Time is money" option after you earn seller wings and wings badges it becomes a perk you can pay 300 credits a month (or so) for. Look to your left and click on the "perks" link under the account settings heading.
God bless you, love bug. A lot of people talk the talk "If I was rich I'd help so many people..." and it's bull because when you care you give even when you have nothing to give...you give of yourself by volunteering, you give time, prayers and love and what little money you have and no matter what you do or how much you always wish you could do more. The feeling I get from helping is like a drug.
