Description

The listing, USED; SAMSUNG CELL PHONE WITH WALL CHARGER AND QUETRY BOARD FOR TEXTING has ended.

Up for auction is a used samsung cell phone.

this is the samsung rant phone.......my daughter used for about a year and a half until she up graded.

included in the auction will be the phone itself as well as matching wall charger for the phone.

she never did use the phone with the internet, she only use it for talk and texting, but you could use with internet if you want to pay extra for that fee.

she did have a black cover over the phone, but i took it off, and when i did, the back of the phone was somewhat sticky it had be on there so long.

you could probably easily find a case that would cover this and have a very nice phone.

the phone itself is purple.....looks blue in the picture.
as far as i know the esn is clean on this phone. .
she only used it for talking and texting.

this would be a great basic phone or if you want to add more to it with a plan i imagine you could....but you would just pay more.

the contract was under sprint, but the phone is no longer under any contract.
if you have any questions feel freee to ask.
i am going to make the auction nice and long so you can save up your credits.

hope you all have a chance to come look and bid.
thanks.......................

but does it use a sim card? Take battery cover off and see if there is a small thin card that is removable under the cover. It has to be either a CDMA phone-like verizons phones, or use a sim card. I'm not familiar with sprint, so Idont know which it is. Thanks.

You need to charge the phone up, and take a picture to show bidders that it does in fact work. You can email Listia and they will upload it for you. Thank you.

The Rant is one of the first few phones on Sprint's lineup that uses a special screen-navigation interface called One Click. It consists of eight shortcut tiles lined up along the bottom of the screen, which you can flip through with the navigation keys. These tiles can be customized with any of 14 shortcuts, to things like the texting interface, Web access, e-mail, Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, and even a menu for more shortcuts. As you flip through the tiles, you will get a small pop-up menu of each application's options. One of our favorite shortcuts was one for Google, providing us instant access to Google search, Gmail, and YouTube. We certainly give high praise to such a customizable navigation interface, since it provides convenient access to your favorite applications. You can even add a "bubble" to your home screen that either displays financial updates, your latest horoscope, or brief news headlines.

Underneath the display is a rather unusual navigation array. There are the typical two soft keys, the square navigation toggle with the menu/OK key, the Speakerphone key, the Back key, and the Send and End/Power keys. But not all keys are raised above the surface of the phone--only the menu/OK, the Speakerphone, and the Back keys are raised. The two soft keys, the Send, and the End/Power keys are flat and feel rather slippery to the touch. We would've preferred if all the keys were raised and had texture. Right underneath the navigation array is the number keypad. We found it surprisingly roomy, raised above the surface, and easy to dial by feel.

There are also two soft keys to the left of the screen, which are only activated when the QWERTY keyboard is revealed and the screen orientation changes from portrait to landscape mode. These two keys are pretty skinny, but at least they are raised above the surface for some texture

Sprint, Alltel/Verizon-- Do Not use SIM cards- - -
and in some phones you can have them "Flashed" to work with another *compatible* carrier---

Sprint to Verizon, Verizon to Sprint---

Not sure if this has been answered already, but just so you know to tell people Sprint phones do not accept SIM cards, so there will be no slot for one, you have to activate the phone through sprint. SIM cards are cards you put in your phone that automatically activates it and moves your contacts and stuff over, no sprint phones have a slot for these. It's unfortunate but true. :/ Just thought i'd let you know. :D I'll be watching.
