Approximately a month, sometimes longer depending on the scent, but generally at least a month or so.

Will these melt with when sitting in the sun for long roofs of time?

No, they do not melt. I hang them in my car and even in the florida heat no problems with melting. They are heated at 450 to mold them so it would have to be that hot and even than they don't melt just become mold-able.
