Java is the programming platform that all computers,laptop,cellphones are built on.So our first systems were of Java and is still today, even the android is written in Java. The Android on the other hand is a different language , but it still uses Java as the platform .Only Java based phones are the ones for example , are the free phones you get from ATT or TMobile when you had the days of the 2 year contract's.
