The listing, BRAND NEW VINTAGE ZIPPO CIGARETTE LIGHTER MARKED 800 WITH INITIALS FIBO? OLD STERLING ESTATE FIND has ended.

For your consideration is this wonderful vintage ZIPPO lighter. The case is marked 800 and some initials, perhaps the engraver who decorated the case. Not sure of initials but they look like FIBO. The lighter appears to have never been used. Hinge is tight and works fine. It's a little tarnished but I'll leave that to the new owner as some prefer it that way.

It does not say ZIPPO on the bottom like a ZIPPO model case. It is just on the lighter inside. It looks to me like it was a vintage European designer case made for a ZIPPO lighter.

The case was made so any lighter insert will fit the case. if the 800 is on the case it means 800 silver - 80%. if it is marked 800 on the case,i will bid on it. or if you would take it i will give you 15000 for it now. not trying to be a know it all. i just like nice lighters.

Thank you for the info Pete. I'm not an expert on lighters either. 800 was the European standard measure for sterling silver at one time. It is marked 800 with some initials. Thank you for your kind offer Pete, but I have already turned down more than that for a GIN. I prefer the auction style on this item. You might be right about this case though but why go to all the trouble of engraving a case and putting a cheap lighter in it? Lol. Glad it's a zippo.
