Product Information
The papercraft offshoot of Nintendo's defining franchise comes to 3DS gamers for the first time with a new sticker theme and a return to turn-based combat in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It seems that Bowser has blown up Decalburg's famed Sticker Comet, blasting stickers and chunks of comet to all corners of the Mushroom Kingdom, and leaving Mario and his friend Kersti to pick up the pieces. Stickers are so much more than decoration in Sticker Star, as they can also be placed in strategic areas to solve puzzles, or deployed as weapons in turn-based battles.
There are six Royal Stickers to collect, and gamers use their stylus and touch screen to help the 2D protagonists navigate their way through a variety of 3D worlds. Mario can collect and use stickers representing classic power-ups like the frog suit and fire flower, but he can also use new items like large fans, radiators, and scissors. Players pick up coins for use in the Battle Spinner, a slot machine that gives Mario a chance to unleash three different attacks during battles. And in true RPG fashion, Mario gets stronger and finds more powerful stickers by finding important items, taking on side missions, and defeating bosses.
There is some sticker residue on the outside of the case. . Game has been tested and played but is listed "AS IS" untested, as I don't have the time to play the game all the way thru.
