Easy Rawlins, a black war veteran just Fred from his job at a defense plant, is drinking at his friend's bar wondering how he'll pay the mortgage on his lovely Los Angeles home when a white man in a linen suit walks in, offering him good money if Easy will help him find Daphne Monet.

This is a pretty decent book. Not great, but not at all bad. The first book by author Walter Mosley, it tells the tale of Easy Rawlins, a black war vet turned defense plant worker turned detective. It was made into a really good 1995 movie starring Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle.

The book is used and has been read a few times, but it is in goof condition. There is some wear along the sides. There is also a black marker from a Sharpie along the bottom near the spine. I did not make it, it was there when I bought it.
