Yes, you need an adapter. But I have some spare adapters, so if you don't have one, just tell me and I'll include it in the package when shipping.

okl...so with this item i just put the sd card in one end of this item and then plug it in the usb port to upload pics...the reason Im asking is because the usb part of my camera wont upload the pics to the puter..so will this do it? Im sorry, Im not smart when it comes to this stuff..lol Thanks fanned and watching

I have a fujifilm finepix. and it has a sd card...it still takes pic, but cant upload from camera to puter...cool...i am bidding on this..thanks

I am not very good at cameras, and I do not have any experience with Fujifilm, but as long as it takes SD card, this reader will do a good job. :) It's the easiest way to transfer yor data without any cables or powering on your camera and wasting its batteries life.

If you had a micro or mini card /TransFlash card/ you'd need an adapter, for SD cards you don't need one. You're always welcome! :)
