Description

The listing, Super Rare Boy Scouts of America Baseball Card has ended.

1999 World Series Edition - John Smoltz Collector's Edition.

This is printed on back of card: "Only boys that are members of the Boy Scouts of America and in good standing are eligible for this commemorative BSA World Series Championship Baseball Card. ... Limited edition. One printing only." They only printed one player per year in this series.

I've looked on Ebay, Google, and other search type places and I have not found this card. How rare is it? From WikiAnswers.com: How do you find Boy Scouts collector's edition baseball cards?

Answer: I have been a Boy Scout, a Scout Master, and a long time collector of baseball memorabilia, and I have never come across any baseball cards connected to the Boy Scouts.

Some lucky bidder will have a chance to add this card to his/her collection.

apparently, it's a licensing agreement that the baseball card company (and many other companies do this too) strikes up with BSA. BSA does not produce the cards, but makes a small amount of money when purchases are made, and more purchases are made in theory because of the use of BSA's name. were you ever a scout? That's all I know. Just the big picture.
