Questions & Comments
Oh, and is the color as dark as it shows in the picture? I just purchased a pair of earrings that looked this color on Amazon which I am returning because they are so light, its hard to know what they are! They were AAA grade.
There may be no possible way for you to show me this , but it looks like the saturation has some flaws in the pictures you have up already. The carats, color, and clarity look spot on, but I am not sure if what I am seeing is shadow, reflection from the facets, or something else, but it looks like the stone has a few striations, or clear or lighter streaks through it. I know I cannot expect top quality, since you are giving away this stone, but the cut is very, very slightly off and I would feel much better if I could see it outside the bag, possibly in some tweezers, a clamp, or a claw, with a light source shining from beneath the stone. Preferably white and not yellow light.... but if nothing else, out of the baggie, between your fingers held a little above a white piece of paper? It is a lot to ask, but very interested in this, as long as I can see no clear streaks. Thank you if this is possible!!
I should have tried to win a stone of lesser value from you before to see your quality!!! I do see you have many fans and good feedback though. I am just a little picky about my gemstone collection. Do you have any Tsavorite garnet, to auction at all?
I have an alexandrite that might be for sell as well, for the person asking, but, it would sure not be for credits! Have papers. AGI certification...99% color change. Would be talking many thousands of dollars tho!
Bedford I get to your questions, please delete my other comments. I just realized...I am on listia, and you are not going to get $2000 for this, so even if it has all the other problems mentioned here, except maybe being pink...It's worth how ever many credits you get.
My alexandrite is .49 carats ..only .01 from doubling it's value. The cut is not perfect either. I would have to dig in the safe to get you exact size, but it is a little shy of a 7 x 5 maybe just barely closer to a 6 x 4 & around 4 deep. I have not looked at the stone or the papers in over 2 years. I had to keep it thru the bad slump in the economy weather I wanted too or not. Hopefully economy is rising also value of our collections right?
Thanks for trying to update. I thought u could up until 12 hours beforehand...but I might be wrong. Getting close to 12 hour mark too. Have a good day. I will be back looking n seeing the bid in around 12 hours..give or take. Great auction. 1 plus carat Tanzanite, to give for 25,000 credits currently...wishing you those credits grow exponentially!! I am not brave enough to put gemstones on here...maybe garnet, Citrine, topaz...but I would be more likely to auction fluorite crystals..not faceted...possibly carved into animal shapes (not my favorite fluorite carved kitty tho)
On the 1st pic it appears as if there is 2 small nicks on the left side and little further down the center on the right side there's 1. Maybe a better description is it being like a scrap not a nick or chip. I do understand you have said its new. Just making sure for my clarity.
Is it truly blue or is it pink like it appears with the dime could you put up A pic of the stone and dime on A sheet of white paper so it will give us bidders A better idea
