This unusual oriental doll stands 10 1/2" tall and is clothed in a traditional oriental dress which is "real" material. She is wearing a hooded cape. The body, underneath the dress, is a shaped, long, heavy piece of styrofoam which is attached to the plastic stand/base. I believe her face and hands are paper-mache. Her face is beautifully hand painted. Her hair looks to be shaped black threads. She is playing an oriental stringed instrument.
The bottom of the 2 1/2" diameter, circular, plastic base is stamped "Made In Taiwan R.O.C." I have no idea how old she is other than that I have owned her for at least 30 years and I didn't buy her new. She is in excellent condition, with no tears, stains or dirt.
