To help you along this is a true marine corp ring. My husband has the real thing. Also the wording around the top says United states marine. the two diffrent years are 1776 when the marine corp was formed in the tuns tavern and the 1945 is from The Battle of Iwo Jima when the marine corp raised the flag. These rings are very custom so the marine that had that had it mad for that reason. Could be from someone who served during or after that time. maybe a gift to someone that served during that time. hope this helps everyone out

I did not say I don't want it. Because my boys are in USMC I admire all that has to do with the MC. Yes pic makes it look like a 9, but what it truly says is in the hands N eyes of the beholder. N yes with the way ya answer your comments ya do come off a bit strong! If I don't ask I will never learn. Asking is a way to protect my self. I have been ripped here a few times already, just cause I did not ask the right questions at the right time. So please understand. TYFYH

if so then why is it printed 1995 on the other side. Just trying to figure out how 1995 could have been printed on a 1945 rings as ya say it is. Photo clearly shows 1995. Please help me understand this.

Who told ya this was a USMC ring? I am not seeing their emblem stamped on this! There is something stamped around the stone but I can not make it out. Can ya please tell me what it says? Also you have it listed as a 1775-1945. But yet again I see 1775 on one side N 1995 on the other. So can ya please clarify this info I have just given ya? I will have my son look at this cause 2 of them are in the USMC.

Beautiful ring! My ex-husband served in the USMC. The emblem on the top of the ring is an EGA - eagle, globe and anchor. That is the emblem of the USMC. Bummer that this ring was probably someone who served. I would like to own it myself. Watching and fanned.
