Today I am offering another Artisan, handcrafted item. Here we have a simple, yet very Beautiful, Goldstone Ring.

Also called Aventurine Glass, Monk's Gold, & Sun Sitara, this Gemstone is not mined or naturally occurring in Nature. It is a glittering glass, produced in a low Oxygen reducing atmosphere, then polished smooth to make all sorts of Art glass projects.

By using various elements, the color varies because of the amounts of manganese, copper or cobalt oxides used. This stone is Blue as the Copper was substituted by Cobalt, in it's manufacture. Interesting, indeed!!

The Size about 7.5 to 8 ish & the deep setting is 925 Silver. You can see that a cleaning is well overdue on this ring & I suggest keeping it in an air tight container when not wearing it to save on polishing time ;0)
