The listing, 10 Corkscrew Vine / Snail Vine Seeds has ended.

I have 10 seeds for this gorgeous vine. "Cochliasanthus caracalla" or "Vigna caracalla" depending who you ask. This vine is not only beautiful but when in bloom is extremely fragrant, sort of like a mixture of jasmine and vanilla. Thomas Jefferson called this plant "One of the most beautiful beans in the world".

I will included germination and planting instructions so you can hopefully have a 100% germination rate.

Can these be grown indoors? They are so unique and elegant looking.

They are a Legume, in the bean family and do best grown outside. If you live in a Florida type climate they are a perennial. Otherwise you can collect the seeds and start over each year. :-)

From your response - these will grow in zone 10?
Is it a plant or a vine and does it take over?

Yes, can be grown is Zone 10 and can be trimmed to keep in check. However it is most beautiful up an arbor/trellis or running along a fence. This is a very beautiful vine and very, very fragrant. I look forward to these each year on my patio. I grow them in large pots up a 7ft trellis.
