Yes, it does work. No, There is no instruction book. Basically, you turn it on and wait for the ready light to feed the pouch. Choose a safe surface as it does get hot and you need to let it cool before putting away. It does take a while to heat up and only handles the small pouches. As a professional organizer, I needed a faster, larger machine that could handle big projects quickly.
