Back when these guys came out,legend has it a deaf grifter would pass these off as $5 gold pieces. These guys didn't have the "cents"at the bottom,like the later '83's had. Free shipping in the u.s.

What are the holes for; was this part of a bracelet?

people that drill the holes to use it as a necklace or bracelet should just keep it as that and continue to wear it. these 83 V's that have been gold plated to pass off as $5 coins are really great coins because of their back-story. will still watch this one to see where it may or may not go, but will bid my max first.
