Royal Empress Trees can grow up to 10 feet in the first year--with the ability to get up to 75 ft. tall. The seeds are extremely small, with a feather-like paper hull surrounding the seeds. This helps them to populate, as they can get carried away by a breeze.
Cover the seeds lightly with a professional potting mix. Keep seeds moist. Gradually expose seedlings to full sun, as an abrupt change can actual sunburn the seedling. Once used to the light, they can handle full sun. Tree is "mature" at three years has fragrant blooms approximately 4-6 inches long. Winner gets 20+ Empress seeds, as well as 25+ of the Pampas grass and 20+ of the Turkish Poppies seeds.

These are "mature" at 3 years. so you'd have a shade tree in no time at all! It takes longer than that for congress to settle on a budget! LOL
