The listing, BEAUTIFUL METAL CANDY TIN DEPICTING A 19th CENTURY CAROUSEL - DATED 1993 MADE IN ENGLAND has ended.
This is a beautiful commemorative metal candy tin sent to us (filled with candy) by our Son when he was stationed in England back in the early 1990's. the tin (and the candy which we ate) was made in England for & by Churchill's of London. The tin commemorates the late XIX century carousel. The carousel's history is printed on the bottom of the tin which measures 5 1/2" in diameter & 4" high with the lid. As you go around the tin, no details or figures are repeated. The horses and human figures are outwardly raised in the metal as are some of the gold decorations. The gold appears almost real. It's really hard to describe how beautiful and distinctive the quality of this tin is. I've posted a lot of photos trying to show the details, but they really don't do justice to the tin.
