It's pretty much a black stone with a blue=purple iridescence.

Druzy is soo much fun to wear :) I wish there were more photos of it...is the back solid silver or open back? how large is the bale? a photo next to a dime or quarter or penny would also help.

This piece is open back and the Bale is actually quite large. It's big enough that you could string this on a thick piece of cord if you wanted to, the whole top piece in the picture is actually the bale, the back of it is just a small strip though, not as wide as the front. I can't seem to find my camera at the moment but I am going to try and see if I can get good enough pics with my phone and I will try to honor all of your picture requests :-)
