1918/7-D INDIAN HEAD BUFFALO NICKEL ERROR?
Here is a possible 1918/7-D Indian Head "Buffalo" Nickel Error. I've analyzed it for hours & have had it examined by some local coin dealers, some agree & some don't, but it sure looks like an 1918 over the 1917 on the obverse & a very worn, nearly obliterated, "D" mintmark on the reverse. The only way to know for sure is to have it sent to a third-party grading company like NGC, PCGS, ANACS, etc. & I will send the NGC application I have along with the coin (it's expensive to have one graded, but may be worth while to have it done in the long run, as this error starts at $1000 in Good according to the 2014 Red Book). Please look at all photos & comparisons closely & examine for yourself & bid accordingly. This is the exact coin that will be sent, insurance of approximate credit value included if bidding requires, comes insured for $50. The last photo comes from google images for the sole purpose of comparing the date to the one on the image before it & you can judge whether or not it looks like a more worn version date like the one in that image (I believe it it the one shown in the Red Book). You can see what I'm looking at & can sort of tell how the stem of the number 7 runs through the openings in the top & bottom of the number 8 & how they are more out of round & more semi-circular. YOU BE THE ULTIMATE JUDGE!
THANKS FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO LOOK, HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS, & GOD BLESS!!!
