i have had it checked at the diaomond mined they confirmed it was real but they couldnt do more unless i got it cut and i wanted it kept like this

I found this info: Herkimer diamonds are rare double terminated quartz crystals found only in a small are of Herkimer County, New York. Is this the same thing?
