I don't know much about these game things. But my 4 granddaughters house caught on fire a few weeks ago and I thought this give them something to do. There very sad and are begging me to take them home for Christmas. And the house is not live able right now. My and Daughter in law are waiting on the insurance company to get started.

firmware is simply what your wii is running on. typically it changes through updates...
