Yes it is, however the e6550 isn't compatible with all motherboards. It has to be capable or running a 1333FSB CPU. What core 2 duo are you running?

Honestly speaking, official support on that says that the fsb limit is 1066. Meaning you can't run it on your system. However, some can cause they use a different motherboard. But if you end up winning it. I'll send a core 2 duo e6600 instead it's a 2.4GHz just in case you have the older unit that used the original 1066fsb motherboard.
