No, not down. It's poly. No tears. My daughter wore it twice, (drought & all ). I'm going to wash it tomorrow....when the older tribe go gambling. No stains. The cuffs are snug, to keep out snow, etc. It's just a nice, inexpensive, made in China, little kids jacket. Great for the snow or a cold &/or windy day.... ( And you'll be able to spot your child in this ).
