it says gold on the back but must mean gold in color. i could not find any karat markings on the item.
i can't seem to get the right angle with my camera but it really sparkels in the light.
very pretty and great gift to give your spouse or friend for christmas. who knows, it might get you some nookie. lol

Mine though was missing a stone, so this is an improvement. It's worth about $12 apparently.
