The listing, 30+ Sunflower Seeds Heirloom Harvest 2014 has ended.

My own variety of Sunflower seeds heirloom harvested 2014. These can grow up to0-12 foot tall when planted in the ground. In containers or planters they will be smaller.

Yes I love Sunflowers too. I plant every year and harvest seeds every year. Brings lots of different birds to the yard as well. Thanks :)

I wish I cld post a pic of the ones I planted this year. I was most proud of them!! It was almost taller then my house :)

Every year I will have at least one Sunflower that exceeds my height expectations and I go running out with camera. Such a fun and rewarding hobby and passion.

How do you harvest seeds?

After the Sunflower is bloomed when wilted and done with it's beauty you remove the whole Sunflower from top of stem. Remove the seeds from sunflower and dry on a plate. That process is called deadheading. Once the seeds are dry store in a cool room not above 70 degrees. You can store them in a paper envelope or paper bag.
