Description

The listing, Antique Rhinestone Jeweled Fur Clip marked w/Patent # has ended.

Here I have another one of my moms antique fur clips. It is silver toned with very clear diamond looking stones that I BELIEVE is rhinestones. It is so sparkly when the light hits the stones, they sure look like diamonds, but i'm not sure so i'm saying rhinestones. The first pic shows the front as it would look if worn on a fur. Second pic shows the back of the with the clip opened. On the top of the clip/piece there is a marking that says Pat 1801128 and another marking when the clip is opened underneath the clip piece that says Pat.1801128. One marking on the jeweled piece & one marking is on the clip itself, proving that the clip is original to the jeweled piece and that they both match. Most of these clips were made between 1880-1930 is my understanding from what my mom says & what I have found while researching about fur clips. This is a beautiful piece, in good shape with no stones missing and approx. 1 1/2 inches high x approx. 1 inch wide at the widest part across. Not much else I can tell you about this item as this is all I know about it b but I will answer any other questions you may have about it if i can. thanks for considering my auction & have a Blessed day.
Please provide shipping info asap after the auction ends for immediate shipment of the item.

Yes, no stones are missing. It's a very pretty clip I think and in really good shape for it's age.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I didn't know for a long time what they were either, but my mom did. shoe clips look a lot like these too, but they have some little hook like spurs on the inside of the clips that help hold them to the shoes. We never get to old to learn, that's for sure.Thank's for your comment.

not this clip. a shoe clip has the little prongs made onto the clip that holds it onto the shoes. the clip on this one is smooth on the inside & outside of the clip. This is a fur coat clip from the 20's.

Thank you Dragonlady1925! I would never list an item as one thing if I didn't know for sure that that is what it is. I'm as honest as I know how to be and never would deceive or mislead anyone. I appreciate my fans & bidders but if someone don't like what I have listed, they can pass it on by and not bid...or comment in some cases :-)

i checked out that that email addres and the item on ebay is definately different than your item...the one on ebay is for shoes as you can see by the prongs on the inside (just like you stated earilier on ) the difference between being for shoes having the sharp prongs (the ebay item) and your item with smooth underside being for fur or scarves or such) maybe the person wasn't paying close enough attention to the details eh? You go girl !!! ***

Thank you for checking that item out on ebay. I did also & it is different than mine. Glad I have fans that honor me & trust my judgement like you! If I wasn't sure what to call something, I would state that in my auction details. You Rock, Dragonlady!!

Hi! Thank you & fanned you back and will check out your listing's. Yes it has the vent holes on the underside of the clip, but I'm pretty sure the jeweled front piece is solid on the back . I'm not at home right now or I would look at it to see for sure but I'm almost positive the rhinestone part of the piece is solid with no vent holes, only on the actual clip part has the holes.Hope this answers what you needed to know about it.
