CHINESE PURPLE BEANS(5 SEEDS)
Royal Burgundy is a delicious, flavourful, stringless violet-purple gorgeous beans. If you have pest issues then grow this. They are almost disease resistant! They will add some colour in your dish as these pencil shaped beans are dark violet-purple outside and bright green inside. They are really fun to grow and your kids will love them.

Uses
The crisp, tender pods are eaten both fresh and cooked. They are at their best when young and slender. They are sometimes cut into short sections for cooking uses. As a West Indian dish, they are often stir-fried with potatoes and shrimp. They are also used in stir-fries in Chinese cuisine and in Kerala cuisine. In Malaysian cuisine, they are often stir-fried with chillies and shrimp paste (belacan) or used in cooked salads (kerabu). Another popular option is to chop them into very short sections and fry them in an omelette. In Suriname cuisine they are called kousenband and served with Roti.

They are a good source of protein, vitamin A, thiamin, riboflavin, iron, phosphorus, and potassium, and a very good source for vitamin C, folate, magnesium, and manganese. They are very easy to grow & easy to maintain. Best time to sow seeds after frost. Seeds need min 15°C to germinate. Soak the seeds in water for 3/4 hours before sowing them in a sunny, well-drained position. Germinate in 3 weeks. Sow them between 15-20mm deep, 5-8 inches apart and 18-36 inches between rows. Enjoy your harvest in 70 days. This is a vine variety so they need some support for their vigorous produce.
