The listing, Vintage Native American Sterling & Turquoise Cross has ended.
Hello there perhaps again. Welcome to the final hours of 2014. I hope you've had an excellent year!
Up for you today is a cross I had bought for my wife. She loved it, and there is nothing wrong with it. We just decided it is better to not have as much jewelry because the fact is we can do other things more useful with our items than just "keeping them."
That said, this is a vintage piece. It has patina around the harder to clean areas, the lattice (so to speak) areas of sculpted wire around the cross.
Which is all .925
With beautiful inlaid Turquoise.
The hallmark is / was hard to decipher. And IF I am wrong in my naming of an artist please forgive me in advance. I'm never out to mislead.
But I think this is Johnny Blue Jay of the Hopi people.
If you can decipher the hallmark and provide solid proof then I will accept your cause!
And either way, you will love the piece.
It measures about 1.25" high without the bale, and 1.75" with.
Width is roughly 1.2"
It is pictured on a vintage heavy silverplated collar. When I say heavy not the collar, but the plate. Trust me, I've tested this and the plating is quite thick.
I'll include the collar if you like. But please tell me (dear winning bidder) if you want it or not. It is con gratis, or if you don't want it let me know b/c I can save a buck on shipping costs.
But the choice is yours.
And until then, bid on.
