Description

The listing, Beautiful Peacock Embossing Folder has ended.

I call this folder "Beautiful Peacock." It's beautiful! If I were going to use this, I'd probably use several cat's eye shaped inks and lightly tap embossed images. This is a folder by Darice. It measures 5 3/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches. I wasn't able to find this folder the last time I ordered, but they may just be in the process of updating it.

This can be used for scrapbooking, embellishing, card making, or more. It can help add texture and style to your paper and cardstock projects. These folders fit most embossing machines. It works best with heavy weight cardstock. I suggest you google Tim Holtz a "how to" site. It's linked to many you-tube videos. Tim Holtz also sells a sander (which I do not include in the auction) which can make the embossing "pop." Anna Griffin likes to take embossing folders and use a brayer and washable metallic ink to ink the folder. She then inserts a piece of paper then runs it through the embosser. She also has used just an ink pad to dab the image that's embossed. Plus, she also lightly sands the embossed image. This should work in most popular embossing machines. The folder measures about 5 3/4 inches by about 4 1/4 inches.

This is beautiful. It can also be used with polymer clay.

Wow! I didn't even think of that! I'll have to try it! My son's wedding theme is using peacocks! And, I happen to have some polymer clay! Bless you for telling me! This will take my crafting to a new stage! Plus, thank you for the compliment! I'm definitely going to look at your auctions!

For cards or place name cards, roll out a sheet of polymer clay (don't purchase a pasta machine, until you decide if you like working with clay. Place your invitation or name card on the sheet of clay. Use a knife to outline the item. Then use your embossed design around the space. Then use something flat and press into the open space until slightly depressed. Bake at about 250degrees for about 20-25 minutes..until hard but not browned. For a card...glue the card into the depressed middle and allow to dry. For a place card. Cut, with a knife, out and emboss around the edges..bake..and use a very, fine tipped, permanent inked felt pen, to write the name of the person to be seated. I do these for any seated dinner. Then, let the guest take their card home as a treat.
