My guess it needs a watch repair person. you can see the workings, but I have no idea what that really tells us.

It appears from pic #2 that there is a battery present. If that is the case it could just need to be replaced.

Hi...It has a battery so it can't be ancient, but it has some age, and maybe was made to be more of a vintage look...hope that helps. Darlene
