Big Red Hardy Hibiscus / Giant red blooms. This is the description for my original bush. I ordered it from Michigan Bulb Company and paid $ 9.99 for a small plant. It now looks like photo's above and has produced many seed pods, that I gathered and put on here my extra's that I have no room to plant.
Other than this description, I say google it....Hardy is a bush hibiscus....there are tree hibiscus, and there are a few other varieties and several colors. This is as far knowledgeable as I am on this variety.
Hardy Hibiscus are good to plant in our zone, can with stand freezing tempatures to a certian level and can with stand a drought. So this is why I chose this variety of Hibiscus. We planted the tree Hibiscus and they died. Could have taken them inside, but were already planted in the ground and never had tried Hibiscus before. So I replanted this variety the next year after reading up on the internet about this kind good for our zone.Arkansas and Oklahoma.
