Questions & Comments
Where did you get the baby lion im guessing in your pic? I worked in a zoo years ago and got to play with cool critters.
We have a local zoo and I know the owner. I was at the vet one day and he was there with the baby and I got to play with her. She was about 25 pounds and played just like a little kitten,
They are perennial in zones 9-10. Annual in all others, but I understand it readily self seeds, I would collect seeds from it and replant every year. I have never seen where it is a houseplant. I am in zone 6.
I am a Wildlife Rehabilitator, been off for two years due to getting my knees replaced, hope to resume soon. I get to help all kinds of wildlife, it is cool.
I have a wonderful ortho doctor and my knees are like they were when I was 18. It was hard getting them done and the rehab, but I would do it again in a heartbeat to be able to walk. I am a very active person and 11 months in a wheelchair before the knee replacements about killed me.
You would have to collect the seeds and replant it every spring. It is only a perennial in the very warmest parts of North America, probably Florida and California. I believe it is from South America. I can't wait to plant my seeds, it is so beautiful.
I believe it is from South America. Supposedly it grows everywhere as an annual except in really warm state. I guess that means like Florida or California. I am going to plant it to see what it does. I am in Western Maryland in the mountains.
bettieacks, seen you telling you are a Wildlife Rehabilitator, mabie you may know the answer to my question. How can I go about keeping the wild panther's safe in our county? Those poachers have just about killed most of them out in our area.
